"Crystal Apparition" created for the 2nd annual Des Moines Iowa "Bras for the Cause" charity event held 11/15/08. "Crystal Apparition" was awarded a 2008 "Artist Choice Award." "Crystal Apparition" was cast in a UV resistant crystal clear plastic w/ an additive mixed in the plastic to make this sculpture glow in a spirit-like way (under black light). Like the 2nd "Pink Candy" sculpture, I hand carved all the negative space out of the lace.

"Pink Candy" was created for the 1st annual Des Moines Iowa "Bras for the Cause" charity event held 11/10/07. "Pink Candy" was awarded a 2007 "Artist Choice Award," was featured in the Des Moines Register "Iowa Life" section on 11/09/07 with a personal interview printed on page E3, and was featured in the "Bras for the Cause" 2008 calendar (April). This sculpture was molded and then cast in crystal clear pink with glitter UV resistant plastic.

This is the 2nd "Pink Candy" sculpture I created. All of the lace is hand carved creating negative space details in the lace.
